Abstract: Remember “scope of competence” from grad school, and maybe from staying up-to-date on research? The idea is pretty straight forward – we should only do things we know how to do. In practice, though, it can be very tricky to know our scope and stay within it.
In this course, we will cover definitions of scope of practice and competence, provide examples, explain why this topic matters, offer options for self-assessing competence in practice, as well as options for what to do to expand competence and set boundaries. Lastly, we offer some thoughts about problem solving scope of competence issues in schools.
Tips: Once the course is purchased, it is good for 100 days. Your purchase of the course is valid for you only, please do not share your log-in credentials with anyone else.
